Everything you need to know about Maharashtra CAP registration, option forms, freezing seats and reporting to colleges like COEP, PICT and VJTI.
The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the State CET Cell decides seat allotment for engineering colleges across Maharashtra.
Step 1 — Registration & document verification: Register on the CET Cell portal, upload marksheets, domicile, caste/EWS and non-creamy layer certificates, and verify them at a facilitation centre (e-scrutiny or physical).
Step 2 — Option form: Choose up to 300 college-branch combinations in strict order of preference. Use previous-year cutoffs for COEP, PICT, VJTI, VIT and PCCOE to build a realistic list.
Step 3 — Allotment & freezing: After each round you can Freeze, Betterment (float) or reject. Report to the allotted institute with fees within the deadline.
